Aeromonas disease
(Aeromonas hydrophila)
Symptoms
Bleeding, congestion of skin or fins, abdominal distension, protrusion of eyeballs.
Punctate bleeding or congestion can be seen on skin, it spreads from the congestion area to all the body as fish move. Sometimes, some parts of the root of fin or anal becomes red.
Cause
It is caused by the bacteria called Aeromonas.
It is a kind of normal inhabitant, which invade the fish from wound or thread when its immune system is weak.
The fish gets sick easily especially when the water temperatures change drastically in raining season or early autumn.
Countermeasure
The treatment is to change the water about 1/2~1/3 and take a medical bath with appropriate medicine.
Please prioritize early detection and early treatment.
